Under the warm spring sunlight, surrounded by beautiful cherry blossoms, the Freshman Seminar was held at the Shiran Kaikan. The Center for Medical Education & Internationalization also co-hosted the event, taking care of the venue and material preparations. However, a significant portion of the planning and execution was handled by medical students, who are seniors to the incoming freshmen.
The new students had a valuable opportunity to get to know each other in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Additionally, they were able to interact with upperclassmen, from whom they learned through stories and experiences, fostering connections across different academic years. We hope that these horizontal and vertical relationships will become a significant strength in their medical school life and as they walk their future paths as medical professionals.
