Workshop on e-Portfolio Development Held

As part of the Kyoto-NEXT project, we organized a workshop on the development and implementation of e-portfolios, led by Professor Ken Ueki from Tottori University’s Department of Medical Education and Associate Professor Masayuki Miyoshi from the Center for Educational and International Exchange Promotion at Tottori University.

At Tottori University, they have been utilizing the “Digital Learning Enhancement Project” funding provided by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) since the 2020 academic year. With this support, they have developed and maintained an LMS-e-Portfolio Building System designed to enhance comprehensive student support (Quality of College Life). This system is actively used, contributing to the further digital transformation (DX) of education.

From Kyoto University’s Center for Medical Education and Internationalization, Professor Kataoka, Associate Professor Miyoshi, Junior Associate Professor Ikuno, and Assistant Professor Tokinobu, the Deputy Head of the Educational IR Office, attended the session. We had the valuable opportunity to learn from Tottori University’s efforts, which stand as a successful example of a MEXT-supported initiative.

The knowledge and insights gained from this workshop will be utilized in the Kyoto-NEXT project for developing our own e-portfolio system.
A sincere thank you to Professor Ueki and Associate Professor Miyoshi for their guidance.
